Zebra Crossings

The zebra crossing is the oldest type of crossing , with black and white striped markings on the road. It is advisable for pedestrians to wait for traffic to stop before crossing using it. On zebra crossings near houses often the flashing beacons can be fitted with shields to prevent or reduce light shining into people's windows.
