Orange Badges

The Blue Badge scheme (which was previously the Orange Badge scheme) is run by the Dept Of Transport but badges are issued by the Blue Badge Unit in the County Treasurer's Department. On April 1st 2000, a new design of badge was introduced to all new applicants and all new renewals of Orange Badges that have expired. It is now blue and is designed to a European standard , however  all Orange Badges remain valid until their expiry date.
