Local Development Plans

The terms Local Development Framework (LDF) and Local Development Documents (LDD) were introduced by the Planning & Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. The City Council is required by law to prepare a local plan for the city. The plan shows where new building will take place and which parts of the city will be protected from development and will last for a period of 10 years.
