Entertainment and Events

Portsmouth has many entertainment venues including The Guildhall, The Kings Theatre, The Wedgewood Rooms and Jongleurs, all offering varied types of entertainment. Events are held throughout the year and a timetable can be found on the Visit Portsmouth web site.

If you are planning to organise your own public event there are three distinct categories where a Public Entertainment Licence would be required: public dancing or music, any sporting event and public musical entertainments such as a music festival. If in doubt contact the licensing department who can advise you and answer any queries you may have.
