Beaches

The seafront is one of the most popular areas in Portsmouth, enjoyed by visitors and residents alike. The mostly stone beach stretches along the whole southern end of Portsea Island from Old Portsmouth to Eastney, offering views of the Isle of Wight. The Seafront Management team are responsible for much of the fabric of the seafront including seats, shelters, railings, sun huts and life aids. In addition, they oversee most events held on Southsea Common and Castle Field throughout the year.
