Conservation in Portsmouth

Portsmouth has 25 conservation areas which cover 409ha. They include Old Portsmouth, St Marys Churchyard, Owen's Southsea and Southsea Seafront . There are 18 ancient monuments and 444 entries in the statutory list of buildings of architectural or historic interest. In addition a local list describing buildings of local interest has 267 entries. 3 historic parks and gardens are included in the English Heritage National Register.
