Out of School Clubs

Portsmouth City Council run a range of Out of School Clubs for children to access. These are mainly based in areas of need and high deprivation. These clubs run on an Open Access basis.

Our service aims to be child centred, friendly, safe and fun so that children can play regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, cultural background, physical and mental abilities. However the nature of this play means children who use one of the clubs cannot be confined to the club or its grounds or prevented from coming and going as they please. These Clubs are not aimed as Childcare.

All clubs are child-centred and open access; children are free to come and go as they please – and cater for children aged 5 to 12*.
