Objectives of the BIG Green Commuter Challenge

The main objectives of the BIG Green Commuter Challenge are to:-

increase the number of commuters that use active and sustainable modes of transport
to decrease the number of single occupant vehicles as a means to reduce emissions and air pollution
to encourage individuals to explore healthier options
to recognise and reward the individuals and groups that support environmentally healthy commuting options
to publicise the social, personal and environmental benefits of sustainable commuting and encourage other commuters to make healthy choices
