Childcare Sufficiency Assessment
What is a childcare sufficiency assessment?
It is an assessment of childcare provision in Portsmouth which maps the current supply of childcare across the city against what parents tell us they use. This enables us to:
- find out if we have the correct type and supply of childcare across the city
- see what the barriers are to take up and the gaps in the current provision.
- produce recommendations and write them up in a report which informs how we plan for services
