How will Local Housing Allowance be paid?

Local Housing Allowance (LHA) will usually be paid directly to you. It will be up to you to pay your rent to your landlord. If you don't pay your rent you may be evicted from the property.

If you are worried about managing your money, ask us if we can help. In special cases we may be able to pay your rent to your landlord.  A Safeguard Policy has been produced to provide guidance in order to identify potential tenants that may have difficulty in managing their affairs or have built up rent arrears. For the full policy please see the document at the bottom of this page.
