Caring for other people
In Portsmouth more than 15,000 carers look after relatives, friends or neighbours who wouldn’t otherwise be able to manage. The work these unpaid carers do is vital and our carers’ centre is on hand to offer support, training and information, as well as specialist benefits advice.
Are you cut out for a caring role? You could consider our adult placement scheme, which helps and trains ordinary people from the community to be approved carers who share their home and time with someone who needs support. If you are interested, follow the link for more information about this rewarding and challenging role.
