This is to assist the Police so that they are able to concentrate on other duties.
The restrictions in place are much the same as when the Police enforced the area in previous seasons.
This depends when the vehicle was parked. Any vehicles parked after the signs are dropped (about 7am) are liable to receive a Penalty Charge Notice and will be towed away by the Police to a compound area. Any vehicles parked before the signs are dropped will be removed at no charge to a holding area for residents to collect their vehicles at a later time. If you think your vehicle has been removed you should contact Hampshire Police on 0845 0454545.
They are £70 (payable at £35 if paid within 14 days of issue) and the removal of vehicle to the compound area incurs a fee of £105. This fee must be paid prior to the return of the vehicle. You will need to provide proof of car ownership to have the vehicle returned.
The restrictions are enforced only on match days. We will not enforce the restrictions (other than double yellow lines) more than three hours before the match.
The signage in the area will indicate whether or not a match is being played on the day. The signage will either read 'No Match' or 'Match Today'.
You can get this information from the Portsmouth Football Club website directly or the fixtures leaflets which the club have delivered to you.
To ensure effective enforcement of the area vehicles can park legally one hour after the match finishes.
