Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD)
We will be preparing a Site Allocations DPD. This will identify sites in the city needed to accommodate the range of land uses necessary to implement the objectives of the Core Strategy. The city council is inviting landowners and their agents, developers and other interested parties to put forward sites for consideration for inclusion within the Site Allocations DPD. Please note that the identification of the site does not automatically mean it will be considered suitable for development.
Sites can be put forward for:
- housing
- employment
- retail
- leisure
- community
- health and other land uses.
We are particularly interested in sites able to accommodate 5 dwellings or more or sites of 0.2 ha in size or larger.
If you have a site to suggest, please complete the site submission form available below, together with a map showing the site's location. The form can be printed and sent to us at Planning Policy, Portsmouth City Council, Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, Portsmouth, PO1 2AU or by e-mail to ldf@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
We hope to consult on the preferred sites by March 2009. For more information, please contact the Policy Section on 023 9283 4007.
