Trading Standards news and events

We run various events throughout the year to help raise awareness of consumer issues. Below is a list of events coming up in the next month, come along and see us and get involved.

February 2008

Scamnesty

  • Thursday 5 February - Friday 27 February 2009

Various events will be planned throughout the three weeks.

Scamnesty is part of a long running campaign organised by the Office of Fair Trading and supported by Trading Standards. The aim is to help raise awareness of scams and how to avoid being ripped off. We want to send the message to scamsters that we do not tolerate people being conned. We want you to save any scam letters, leaflets, emails or other mailings that you may receive between now and February and deposite them in our 'Scamnesty Bins'. We will post futher details within the next few weeks so come back soon to find out where you can drop your scam mail.

Don't Let Them Con You!
