Cycle Security Marking

The Police carry out cycle security marking in Palmerston Road, Southsea every Thursday from 11am - 2pm.
Bikes are security marked with a sticker and special powder. If your bike is stolen and the police find it they can return it to you as your details will be kept on a secure cycle database. The sticker will show your bike has been marked but will not guarantee that it won't get stolen - it is still very important to invest in a cycle lock. You can purchase a high quality D-lock from Portsmouth City Council's Road Safety and Sustainable Travel Team at the cost-price of £15.

For more information on security marking please call Hampshire Constabulary on 0845 045 45 45 and ask to speak to your Neighbourhood Policing Team.
