Eastern Road Congestion Improvements

We have now improved the traffic flow on the western side of the city by changes such as the new Trafalgar Gate Link Road into the Naval Base.   

We are now planning to improve the Eastern Road and the Velder Avenue junction. These changes would cut many of the traffic queues.

What we plan to do;

• Make the Eastern Road two lanes southbound for its whole length.
• Change the Velder Avenue junction to reduce delays and make it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to cross.
