No 9 Economy: Land & Buildings
This Topic Paper is concerned with the supply of employment land in Portsmouth and for the purposes of the report, 'employment land' refers to all land and buildings within Use Classes B1, B2 and B8.Many of the findings are directly related to those that emerged from the economic overview undertaken by the University of Portsmouth (Topic Paper 5: The Economy - People & Jobs).
The two Papers, therefore, need to be considered together in order to gain a more complete understanding of the planning implications of economic development in the city.
