Statement of Community Involvement - Adopted April 2006

One of the key elements of the new planning system is to improve the way in which residents and key players are involved in the plan-making process. By becoming involved at an early stage, local people can have an influence in shaping the policies and proposals which will directly affect them.

This Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out our policy for involving the community in drafting and revising the local development documents. It also describes how we will consult local people and other interested agencies about planning applications.
