1. Contents, Summary and Introduction

Portsmouth’s unique geography presents challenges for creating effective and sustainable transport systems in the context of development proposals. The study examines current public transport and considers how proposals for significant improvement could be taken forward for implementation. In working to achieve a transport vision, the views of key stakeholders have been taken into account and the views of residents, the business community, transport providers and others will continue to play a crucial role as schemes are developed and implemented.
