Energy efficiency advice
Property owners, landlords and tenants can all benefit from measures introduced into the home that improve energy efficiency. In addition to making a house more comfortable to live in and cheaper to heat, they can also help the environment by reducing emissions of carbon dioxide – one of the main gases responsible for climate change.
There are many ways a property can be made more energy efficient, often by introducing low-cost measures when a property is refurbished. Tenants can also use a variety of no-cost and low-cost measures to save fuel and reduce fuel bills. There is a large amount of information available on energy efficiency and some of the simplest tips and most cost effective measures are described on the links below. Costs and savings are based on estimates provided by the Energy Savings Trust.
