Child Cycle Training
Each year, many children are successfully trained in Portsmouth. Our instructors are committed to improving the skills and awareness of young cyclists across the city. Courses usually take place in the school holidays at Newbridge Junior School and Court Lane Junior School, but are also run through many schools.
All cycle courses are playground based to start and then move to an on-road training area. Children must be able to ride and control a bicycle and be at least 10 years of age on the date of the test in order to qualify. The course is a week long and the cost of the training is £15 per child which includes a reflective waistcoat to keep. They must have a road worthy bike and a cycle helmet must be worn for the course.
Our next cycle training courses will be held on the following dates.
28th July - 1st August Newbridge Junior School, New Road, Portsmouth 9-11am
4th - 8th August Court Lane Junior School, Hilary Ave, Cosham 9-11am
11th - 15th August Newbridge Junior School, New Road, Portsmouth 9-11am
