Racial harassment

A racist incident is any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person.

Racial harassment can present itself in many forms and examples include:

  • abusive text messages or phone calls
  • damage to property
  • graffiti
  • physical assault
  • printed material and literature
  • verbal racial abuse and name calling
  • victimisation and bullying of children by neighbours or other children
