Introduction to fostering

Children and young people in Portsmouth require placements with foster care families for a variety of reasons.

They may require temporary short-term placements ranging from a few days to a few years. However, a large number need permanent long-term foster care, so we need people like you who will stick by them and see them through to adulthood.
