Corporate Plan 2008-11

Portsmouth City Council’s Corporate Plan 2008-11 sets out our priorities and identifies what we aim to achieve over the next three years.

Significant progress has been made in 2007/08 in making improvements in a number of our priority areas. We are committed to consulting and involving local people and communities in decisions about the services that affect them.  This helps us to continuously improve the quality of our services and to meet residents’ priorities.

This Corporate Plan helps to align our resources both to local people’s priorities and to our priorities for internal management.  Maximum impact can only be achieved if we work towards shared goals within our own organisation, as well as ensuring that we work with partners - both in the city and the wider region where appropriate. The plan sets the framework and priorities for our business plans, operational plans and individual staff objectives, so we can all see how we contribute to delivering the priorities of the council.

The Corporate Plan also provides a summary of Portsmouth City Council’s performance against the national set of Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPIs) for 2007/08.

If you prefer not to download a pdf version of the Corporate Plan, a Black & White photocopied version of the plan can be posted to you.
