To ensure that our website is truly accessible, the biggest test can only come from viewing real pages with real users who do experience disability issues.

Bobby
Watchfire® Bobby is a web accessibility desktop testing tool designed to assist in the compliance of the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Bobby trawls through our website daily testing each individual page to see if it meets several accessibility requirements, including readability by screen readers, the provision of text equivalents for all images and the use of appropriate text when using hyperlinks.
SiteMorse
We are concerned with the performance and accessibility of our website. To maintain quality assurance and good practice we have registered with SiteMorse who conduct a series of tests governed by using already established guidelines and standards and regulations for government websites. These tests are run on a weekly basis and SiteMorse produce ranking lead tables determined by the functionality, accessibility and compliance of our website tested within a given period.
Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)
The WAI develops strategies, guidelines, and resources to help make the web accessible to people with disabilities.Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can use, easily navigate and interact on the web the same as anyone else.
World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
The W3C is an international consortium who work together to develop web standards.
