The effective management of the City Council's property portfolio is one of the key elements for delivering excellent quality services. The Council has to ensure that it makes the best use of resources to achieve this.With a property portfolio valued in excess of £1.2bn the City Council needs to have an effective strategy backed up with clear policies, plans and procedures.
To do this the City Council will use the following documents:
The Corporate Asset Management Plan
This is undergoing signficant changes to ensure that there is an achievable and robust action plan designed to deliver an excellent use of resources. The draft plan for 2008-13 is currently being finalised.
Asset Management Service Business Plan
This plan encompasses the overall business objectives for the organisation of its human resources to deliver the Asset Management Plan. For the plan see below.

The Service will continue with the remit of implementing targets for achieving level 2 of the Equalities Standard. Specific tasks currently being undertaken include a rolling programme of Equality Impact Assessments as listed in the service business plan.Complaint Handling Procedure
