Community Involvement Partnership Board

The Community Involvement Partnership Board (CIPB) was established in July 2006 with responsibility for delivering the aims of the community involvement chapter of the Community Strategy and now leads on the relevant sections of the Vision for Portsmouth 2008-2018 and the Local Area Agreement 2008-2011.

The CIPB brings together a wide range of partners representing the voluntary and community sector, the public sector, communities of interest (e.g. minority ethnic residents) and geographic communities (e.g. neighbourhood forums.)

Key Aims of the Community Involvement Partnership Board

  • To oversee the implementation of the Vision for Portsmouth 2008-2018’s priority theme to "Celebrate the many diverse and difference communityies within Portsmouth and work together to create an inclusive city for everyone";
  • To monitor and promote relevant contribution toward other themes within the Vision for Portsmouth;
  • To oversee delivery of the targets in the Local Area Agreement around community cohesion, a thriving Third Sector, volunteering and ensuring everyone’s voice can be heard;
